Katherine Hall, 3 year old teacher
Kate was born and raised in Louisiana.  She graduated from Louisiana State University with
a BA in psychology.  She comes to DI with 2 years of experience working with young children
in various childcare centers in both Louisiana and Alabama.  She enjoys working with young
children and helping them learn academically, socially, and emotionally.   She firmly believes
that years from now, a child may not remember what you told them but they will always
remember how you made them feel.  She has been married for 10 years and has a 5 year
old son, Cody, who attends Gulf Shores Elementary school.  She and her family recently
relocated to Gulf Shores to enjoy “life at the beach”.  She is an avid LSU Tiger fan and a
former long suffering Saints fan.  Her favorite time of the year is football season!  She attends
church locally with her family.

Mary Bradley, One Year Old Teacher
Ms. Mary originally came to us three years ago from Montgomery and was our infant teacher
for a year. Her husband of 29 years, is in the military. When he was deployed surprisingly 3
years ago, Ms. Mary had to resign her position at DI to be more available to her family. Ms.
Mary has occasionally helped out as a substitute teacher during the last few years. But, we
are thrilled Ms. Mary is now back full time at Discovery Island and the teacher of our one year
old toddler class. Ms. Mary has always been a favorite of the families she has worked with at
DI. Overall Ms. Mary has worked with children for 16 years. She has 3 children and 1
grandchild. Being a military family she has been blessed to travel all over the United States
and overseas. Ms. Mary is a devote Christian and promises to give your one year old the very
best of her love and time.

with children from John Johnson Elementary School in Georgia as a Para-Professional.
She also spent 2 years as a Para-Professional at a Christian Academy.  Ms. Lolita's

Diane Bieber, 3 / 4 Pre-K Teacher
The newest member of the DI team is Ms. Diane. Ms. Diane comes to Discovery Island with
high teaching credentials and experience with young children. She holds an Associates
Degree in Science from NE State Community College and a BS in Early Childhood Education
from Alabama A&M University. Her teacher certification is in pre-school through third grade.
While living in Scottsboro, Alabama Ms. Diane owned her own licensed home day care
where she supervised and taught 12 pre-school children. An important part of her life is her
family, her friends, and attending church, with the most important part being her son and
grandson. Her favorite quote is "it is not what you do for your children, but what you have
taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings."
